On 1st July 2019, we launched Orangopus
The core premise is simple, a fully open-source non-profit development studio, with a twist...
We make projects, but we are also coining the idea of helping others succeed with their own projects. So what do we have in store for our fellow octopuses and inklings in 2019 and beyond? Let's have a gander...
Orangopus Web 3 🌐
We have overhauled the official website to include our mission statement, how you can contribute, experimental open-source projects, Discord, our help centre, and much more! See the website in action here...
Introducing Orangopus Spaces 🚀
A subsidiary to Orangopus, Orangopus Spaces is pretty self-explanatory. Here you can find spaces for many different types of hobbies/interests. You can find music, art, coding & quotes to name a few.
What's unique about Orangopus Spaces is that you can share your projects, and receive immediate feedback from fellow octopuses and inklings.
Orangopus Labs 🧪
Inspired by our previous collective, Orangopus Labs is a lab set on creating and hosting experimental projects which are functional, but not fully completed.
Most, if not all projects located in the lab are experimental to some degree. So expect some bugs!

Orangopus Studios 🎮 (TBC)
Yes, we are building a games studio! Like all of our other initiatives, this one will also follow the non-profit ethos. All of the games we develop will be 100% free-to-play and open-source! We will provide single-player or multiplayer experiences (Depending on budget). Though in most cases, we would use P2P to keep costs down.
And yes, this will include games that you can play in your browser. So no need to download.
There might be cases where you can pledge to our OpenCollective to receive in-game items, but the core features of the game will always be free and any pledges that have rewards for in-game items are entirely cosmetic.
For more information on Orangopus Studios, join our Discord.
We are open to game ideas! Orangopus Studios will be launching soon™️!
Feedback Hub ✍️
Need to leave some feedback for us and our projects? Canny has graciously provided us with a Feedback platform with changelogs! You'll never stay out of the loop!
✍️ Feedback Hub
You! Yes you reader... Have you ever wanted to figure out why one of our projects has gone down? You do? Great!
Orangopus Status is a page where you can look at our project health. It's about as simple as going to status.orangop.us on your computer or smartphone!
Our status-page was graciously provided by Atlassian Statuspage. They give plans to qualifying open-source & non-profit teams! If you have your own open-source projects, Atlassian has you covered!
We are going to be attending MixCon 2020! We have plans to hand out stickers. Things are still TBC at this early stage, but we should be there on the 11th July 2020.
Mixlook Dashboard 🔎
What started as a small idea, grew larger. This project kick-started us to launch Orangopus. So in many ways, Mixlook was the fire-starter. Lit! 🔥
Mixlook is a tool to look up channels on Mixer and displays them in a beautifully laid out profile that you can view and embed to your site.
We are going to be adding more features in the near future. Mixlook Dashboard is coming very soon™️. This will give you the ability to edit your own profiles! How cool is that? We still need to work on how we are going to accomplish that though...
If you would like to help with the development of Mixlook, hit us up on Discord!
Moddopus Defense League ⚔️
The Moddopus Defense League is a crack team of super-powered octopuses who protect our community from bad ink. You can expect them to be friendly, welcoming, and a positive beacon of our community.
